3 missed penalties, in the end Fiorentina beats Milan
Fiorentina won Sunday night’s crazy match against AC Milan. As many as three penalty kicks were missed during the match: two by the Rossoneri (Theo Hernandez and Tammy Abraham) and one by the violets (Moise Kean).
Paulo Fonseca’s team suffered at the start and in minute 22 Fiorentina had a huge chance to take the lead but Moise Kean missed the penalty kick by being hypnotized by the excellent Mike Maignan. At 35'the lily-colored players took the lead thanks to a goal by Yacine Adli, a former player of the evening who was able to take advantage of a sleep by the Rossoneri defense.
Just before halftime the referee awarded a penalty kick to Milan for a foul by Ranieri but Theo Hernandez è had his shot parried by David De Gea.
In the second half, the Diavolo tried hard to equalize and at 56' came close but De Gea pulled off another masterpiece by neutralizing Tammy Abraham’s penalty. Pulisic put the game back on even terms at 60' with a delightful touch on the volley but 13 minutes later Albert Gudmundsson signed the final 2-1 with a shot that flew past Maignan.
On this occasion, too, Fonseca's defense was not very responsive, with Tomori jumping wide and getting the ball past him.
