Tyrrell Hatton doesn’t flinch: tris at the Alfred Dunhill

Tyrrell Hatton has done it again: è the first player to win the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship three times. The Englishman had already triumphed in 2016 and successfully defended the title in 2017. Subsequently, he scored two runner-up finishes in 2018 and 2021, before writing a major new chapter in 2024.

During the third round, the nearly 33-year-old from High Wycombe finished with 61 strokes, equaling the course record and taking first place. However, the last round was not without its difficulties, especially when Belgian Nicolas Colsaerts joined him at the top with three holes to go. Only a birdie on the last hole allowed Hatton to secure the victory, finishing with a final score of -24.

Tommy Fleetwood finished with a 67 in the final round, finishing third at -21, while David Puig, Robin Williams and Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen shared fourth place at -19. Young Frenchman Tom Vaillant, Spaniard Jon Rahm and China’s Li Haotong stopped at -18, finishing in seventh place.

Among the Italians, the best finish è was that of Francesco Laporta, 43° at -12, followed by Lorenzo Scalise, 54° at -11.
