Yu makes the cut at Sanderson Farms Championship
Vince Yu
È a playoff was needed to determine the winner of the Sanderson Farms Championship, with Taipei native Kevin Yu overcoming American Beau Hossler in the last challenge. In third place, tied with a score of -22, were Lucas Glover and Keith Mitchell.
Kevin Yu è was in contention throughout the final round of the Sanderson Farms Championship, but his first win on the PGA Tour è materialized somewhat by surprise: Keith Mitchell and Beau Hossler were vying for the lead and so it appeared that one of the two would have to triumph.
Everything è changed when the Asian golfer holed a putt on the 72nd hole, reaching the clubhouse with a score of 23 under par.
Yu’s victory comes at the end of a solid but unspectacular sophomore season on the PGA Tour. He had two consecutive top 10 finishes earlier in the season, which allowed him to participate in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, but he played in only one other major event, finishing 90° in the FedEx Cup, a slight improvement over his rookie year. He is now è guaranteed membership on the PGA Tour until 2026.
