Bari puts the brakes on Spezia: 0-0 at the Picco
A goalless draw thwarts possible assault on the summit.
Spezia stuck on a 0-0 home draw by Bari in the match that Friday evening opened the program of the tenth day of Serie B. A result that could affect not a little in the race for promotion: in fact, the Ligurians miss the temporary overtaking of the leading Pisa, the “biancorossi” a not insignificant jump in the positions that are worth a place in the playoffs at the end of the season.
From the very early stages, the match turns out to be a Spezia monologue, or almost. It is Esposito and Soleri who create the first dangers to a Bari that manages to avoid trouble, then on Nagy è Radunovic to have to commit twice. On the other side, Favilli tries, who però already at 20à has to leave due to injury. Instead, the hosts see Pio Esposito hit the post and Bandinelli forced in turn to be replaced by injury, even before the half-hour of play.
In the resumption also comes a second wood for Spezia: this time è the crossbar, hit by Reca. The pace does not pick up, the hosts loosen the pressure and almost get mocked by Dorval. In the final, Colak and Vignali also tried, but Bari’s resistance did not collapse and the “biancorossi” brought home the point.
In this way Bari picks up even the fourth draw in a row out of six already obtained this season (two both wins and losses). Spezia, on the other hand, draws for the fifth time, compared to as many victories. It remains, therefore, unbeaten in the league since the beginning of the season.
