Three medals for Italy in Incheon
Italy's adventure in the second leg of the Swimming World Cup in Incheon, South Korea, ends with three medals. In the three days of competitions, Benedetta Pilato took an excellent second place in the 50m breaststroke, while Alberto Razzetti and Thomas Ceccon had to settle for the lowest step of the podium in the 400 mixed and 100 backstroke, respectively.
The Italian swimmer finished the event with an excellent 29"49, ahead of Belarusian Anastasiya Zmushka in 29"80. Triumphing, forò, è was the highly favored Chinese Qiantin Tang, who stopped the clock at 29"03.
In the 100 backstroke, victory è went to South Africa’s Pieter Coetzcon in 49"93, ahead of Poland’s Kacper Stokowski and Thomas Ceccon, who hit the podium thanks to an excellent comeback in the second half of the race.
In the 400 medley, Leon Marchand struggles more than expected, but in the end he respects the odds and triumphs with a time of 3"58"30 ahead of Japan’s Daiya Seto (3'59"43). In third place was Alberto Razzetti, who accumulated a delay of more than four seconds from the Frenchman.
