MotoGP, Thailand: Pecco Bagnaia wins ahead of Jorge Martin
Race conditioned by rain, excellent Pedro Acosta
Masterpiece Pecco Bagnaia. Starting from the pole position, fighting against everything and everyone, adverse weather conditions included, the reigning World Champion manages to win the Thai GP, nipping five points off Jorge Martin, who arrived at the finish line in second place. Also going on the podium was an excellent Pedro Acosta, protagonist of a sensational finish.
Smiles Pecco Bagnaia who, despite the rain, managed to arrive first at the finish line, again putting pressure on Jorge Martin who now has 17 points ahead of the Italian rider (beaten, by Jorge Martin himself, in the Sprint). "He showed that he will fight until the end. È it was an honest battle between the two riders. Bravo Pecco", the words of Gigi Dall'Igna, Ducati manager.
Race of a thousand emotions. Extraordinary start by Jorge Martin who puts everyone behind him. On the fourth lap, the world leader goes long, leaving the lead to Pecco Bagnaia. Several crashes arrive (also that of Enea Bastianini). Endless Bagnaia-Marquez duel but the Spaniard's fall allows the Italian to run away.
Jorge Martin does not risk and freezes his second position. In the finale, applause for Pedro Acosta who pushes through several riders and takes an excellent third place. Next Sunday all in Malaysia for a new appointment with MotoGP and yet another challenge between Pecco Bagnaia and Jorge Martin.
