Naples wants to armor Kvaratskhelia but there’s a quandary
The current contract expires in June 2027
.
Kvaratskhelia, with the arrival of Conte, is returning to play at the highest level. The 23-year-old Georgian has made a great start to the season, already scoring five goals (the last one, at San Siro, against AC Milan). The Neapolitan club è is ready to armor him, so as to prevent some other top club from coming forward next summer.
As explained by Napoli patron De Laurentiis, the distance between the blue club's offer and his entourage's request would not be high, but, however, there would still be a grana to be solved, namely the issue related to the rescission clause to be included in the new agreement between the parties.
Napoli wants to keep the clause high. Specifically, it is rumored that it would not want to go below 100 million euros. Of a different opinion are the player’s agents who, instead, would prefer a low clause, between 60 and 80 million euros.
The feeling è that there will be discussion. However, the willà of both parties seems to be to continue together. There is talk of extending the current contract, which expires in June 2027, by two seasons, then until the end of the 2028/29 season. Kvaratskhelia will be accommodated financially, going from the current two million in salary up to a figure close to six million that, thanks to various bonuses, could reach eight.
