The derby in Trent
Itas Trentino inaugurates with a convincing comeback success the cycle of commitments that will see it take the court every three days from now until the end of November. In fact, the European champion team secured the first of the six matches it will play until the end of the month, imposing 3-1 (20-25, 27-25, 25-20, 25-22) on Rana Verona in the big match of the seventh round of the men’s SuperLega Credem Banca.
“Kudos to Verona because they played a wonderful game, with an intensity that we predicted but which in any case was not easy to contain, even though we knew what we were up against – said Itas Trentino coach Fabio Soli after the match. All this makes the result obtained tonight particularly important for the standings, but also for morale because we managed to handle the moments of difficulty with a serenity that we had never had before this season“.
“After a tough first set, we were able to build one ball at a time that peace of mind we had been looking for and needed for some time. It had accompanied us last season several times, in this championship we found it only today and therefore, I consider this a really important step. We are working a lot in the gym and this success will serve us to face with the right spirit the cycle of games that awaits us from now on“ added the Itas helmsman.
