Luca Cordero di Montezemolo says no to Serie A

Luca Cordero di Montezemolo, in a statement to Ansa, denied rumors regarding his possible candidacy for the presidency of the League.

"I saw that my name is circulating for the presidency of the Football League. I thank the many people who have thought of me, but I am very busy traveling…with Italo", said the'former president of Ferrari.

Luca Cordero di Montezemolo to Rai GR Parlamento in recent days had spoken about Lewis Hamilton: "A phenomenon like Verstappen. His arrival at Ferrari is not è a marketing operation, because he strongly wanted to close his career by winning dressed in red".

"The choice of Lewis in some ways however è a risk, becauseé the team has taken a champion who has won so much and who comes to Ferrari to win. But on the’other side there’è already; Leclerc who, although he has done so many good races, has never won a title and meanwhile the years for him pass”.

"Ità will be very interesting to see what Ferrari will do next season to see if it canà close the gap with McLaren and start already with a competitive car from the first race of the championship. There also needs to be moreù clarity in the team" management.

"Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc are strong, I don’t think Ferrari’s problems these seasons were related to the drivers", he had however, clarified.
