Ferrari, Lewis Hamilton loses his temper: tough on team radio

A weekend to forget. The Miami GP was an authentic disaster for Ferrari. Beyond the third place in the Sprint Race, it is evident how the race results were mediocre (seventh Charles Leclerc, eighth Lewis Hamilton). The seven-time World Champion definitely lost his temper, frustrated by a situation he is struggling to accept.

The British driver went on a rampage over team orders (double swoop that went nowhere). Lewis Hamilton is convinced that the team should have asked his teammate to let him pass much earlier, so he could allow him to use his medium tires to the fullest.

The British driver was furious about the situation.

Angry that he was then forced to give the position back to Charles Leclerc, Sir Lewis lashed out over the radio: “Do you want me to let Sainz pass as well?”, the words, very harsh, address the team. In short, a lot of nervousness for Lewis Hamilton. One more problem for Frederic Vasseur, called to restore serenity in a decidedly not serene environment.

“It was a little bit’frustrating for sure but I wouldn&#8217t say I wasn&#8217t happy, just that it wasn&#8217t clear what they wanted to do. It was not the right situation for the team. First of all, we didn&#8217t want to be in that position. Then I had a better tire and the car was giving me very good feeling, while Charles had a tire that I had before that initially was not good, and he was struggling in front of me. I was losing so many seconds behind Charles and it took too long from the pits to make a decision” the words of Lewis Hamilton himself to Sky.
