The now famous appeal filed by WADA with the Court of Arbitration for Sport (TAS) in Lausanne will be dealt with exclusively on Wednesday, April 16 and Thursday, April 17. This was established by the Swiss sports tribunal itself, thus disproving the rumors that had been circulating for weeks and that pointed to February 11 as the date of the hearing, involving Sinner and WADA.
The South Tyrolean athlete will thus have more time to focus exclusively on sports activities, without having to anticipate his return from Australia. He will be able to participate in the Indian Wells and Miami tournaments. Instead, the’hearing è set in the week of the Munich and Barcelona tournaments, both of which are in the ATP 500 category.
È the composition of the judging panel was also confirmed: Israeli Ken Lalo will represent WADA, while U.S. Jeffrey Benz è was appointed by Sinner’s lawyers. As per practice, the TAS designerà the third judge only near the hearing, which will be held behind closed doors, at the request of the parties involved.
