A total of seventeen Italian women skiers will take part in the World Cup stage scheduled for the weekend in Sestriere, where the giant slalom cancelled last December in Mont Tremblant will be recovered on Friday, February 21 (10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.), followed by another giant slalom on Saturday, February 22 (11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.) and a slalom on Sunday, February 23 (9:30 a.m. and 12:15 p.m.).

Among the wide gates, Marta Bassino, Roberta Melesi, Federica Brignone, Sofia Goggia, Asja Zenere, Elisa Platino, Alessia Guerinoni, Sophie Mathieu, Ilaria Ghisalberti, Giorgia Collomb and Lara Della Mea will compete; among the narrow poles, Marta Rossetti, Martina Peterlini, Emilia Mondinelli, Celina Haller, Vera Tschurtschentahler and Lucrezia Lorenzi will compete in addition to Della Mea and Collomb.

The precedents on the Piedmont slope in the technical disciplines speak of three Italian victories with Bassino (giant 2022), Brignone (giant 2020) and Quario (slalom 1983), as well as second places for Goggia (giant 2016) and Karbon (giant 2004) and third place for Bassino (PGS 2020).
