World Biathlon Championships: France gold in mixed relay, Italy out of top 5

World Biathlon Championships: French domination in the mixed relay
France takes the top step of the podium at the Biathlon World Championships in Lenzerheide also in the mixed relay. The pair formed by Julia Simon and Quentin Fillon Maillet, in fact, recorded the best time in 35’32″1 with seven top-ups ahead of Norway and Germany, who were respectively 5 and 8 seconds behind.
At the foot of the podium are the hosts Switzerland (Baserga-Hartweg), who are ahead of Sweden (Halfarsson-Samuelsson) and Slovenia (Repinc-Fak). It doesn't go beyond seventh place for Italy, which pays a delay of more than 30 seconds from France, thanks to a few too many shooting errors by Dorothea Wierer. Closing out the top 10: Austria, Latvia and Finland.
"The relay è a very intense, tight race, where everything happens in a moment. Today some pairs did better than us, but overall we did a good race" this is the hot comment of Tommaso Giacomel as reported by the "FISI".
"It è didn’t go too well today. I tried to do my best: the focus was to concentrate on shooting, but I am not at my full energy and I made a few too many mistakes" this, instead, is Dorothea Wierer's analysis.
