Federica Brignone and Sofia Goggia lead the Azzurri expedition to Kvitfjell

Eleven Italian women are ready to take to the slopes in the three-day World Cup in Kvitfjell, where two downhill races and a SuperG will be run between Friday, February 28 and Sunday, March 2.

The following will be featured in the Norwegian weekend: Federica Brignone, Marta Bassino, Roberta Melesi, Sofia Goggia, Laura Pirovano, Sara Allemand, Nicol Delago, Nadia Delago, Elena Curtoni, Asja Zenere and Vicky Bernardi.

After the extraordinary double win in the giant in Sestriere, Brignone will try to repeat herself in the super-G in Norway, where she triumphed in the previous edition. She will try, instead, to regain the podium Sofia Goggia, who finished fourth on the Giovanni Alberto Agnelli track in the last World Cup round.

In the overall standings, the skier from Valle d’Aosta è in first position with 999 points with 190 points ahead of Lara Gut-Behrami from Switzerland.
