Matteo Berrettini also beats O’Connell and flies to the quarters in Dubai

Matteo Berrettini-Christopher O'Connell 7-6 6-2
After a more-than-convincing debut with Gael Monfils, Matteo Berrettini repeated himself in the round of 16 of the Dubai ATP 500, dismissing Australian Christopher O'Connell, world number 75, in two sets. 7-6 6-2 the final score in favor of the Roman accrued after an hour and a half of play.
After a complicated first game in which O'Connell è forced to save three consecutive break points, the first set è dominated by the services with Berrettini not even conceding the shadow of a break ball. It thus came down to the tie-break, dominated by the Azure who won it 7 points to 2.
Berrettini immediately goes on the run in the second partial, taking away the Australian's serve in the second game (2-0) and confirming the break in the next one (3-0). The Roman è untouchable on serve and in the eighth game he repeated the break advantage, closing on a 6-2 final.
Thanks to this victory, Berrettini advances to the quarterfinals of the 'Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships' where he will face the winner of the match between Stefanos Tsitsipas, the fourth seed in the seedings, and Karen Khachanov, world number 24.
