Poker of European medals for young Italian shooters
Three golds and a bronze for Italy at the Junior European Championships
It's of three gold medals and one bronze the more than positive balance of the Junior European Championships at 10 meters as far as the National Shooting Team is concerned. In Osijek, Croatia, the young Italian shooters distinguished themselves by winning the most valuable metal in the team pistol, with the trio composed of Francesco Rutigliani, Gabriele Villani and Liang Xi Savorani, in the team rifle with Luca Sbarbati, Edoardo Branchini and Tommaso Roberto, and in the Mixed Team pistol, with Francesco Rutigliani and Alessandra Fait.
In addition to the team gold, Tommaso Roberto won bronze in the individual rifle. "It's an immense satisfaction,‖ said Pierluigi Ussorio, UITS director of Olympic preparation. The team è was fantastic. Along with the team successes we also found an individual medal and one in the Mixed Team, sealing the performance of these boys and the great work of our technicians starting with coach Sabine Marta. The level è very high: we showed that as a team, as a national team, we are there. To return to Italy with four medals and three gold ones è a source of great pride for all of us".

Then è came the bronze of Tommaso in the’individual, at the end of a competition that gave us many emotions".

Finally, the pistol boys: I’m honest, I was hoping for it, becauseé Rutigliani è in great shape, she’s shooting great, and Alessandra yesterday didn’t è go to the finals in the individual because of a few too many mistakes in the’last phase of the qualification. We are talking about a very good girl who today è took her revenge showing character" concluded Sabine Marta.
