Another Swiss hat trick in the Hafjell giant slalom, with victory going to Loic Meillard, by 14 hundredths ahead of Marco Odermatt and 23 ahead of Thomas Tumler. Marco Odermatt, with the result of this race wins, with five races to go, his fourth consecutive overall World Cup (1596 points to Kristoffersen’s 961 with five races to go), and his fourth consecutive Giant Cup: 500 points to the Norwegian himself’s 394 when there is only one race left.

Lucas Pinheiro Braathen è fourth and already remains off the podium by 33 hundredths, ahead of Alexander Steen Olsen.

Luca De Aliprandini è the’only Azzurro present in the final ranking, and placed 19th at 2″11 from Meillard. Out in the second were both Alex Vinatzer, and Filippo Della Vite. Giovanni Franzoni, Giovanni Borsotti and Tobias Kastlunger had not qualified.
De Aliprandini, who remains 10th in the standings with 208 points, and Vinatzer, 21st with 98 points, qualified for the finals. Instead, Della Vite did not make it, who remains in 28th place with 45 points, eight points behind 25th place.

For Sunday, the program includes the slalom, with the first run at 9:30 a.m. and the second at 12:30 p.m.
