On Sunday at 1:30 p.m., two of Belgium’s most emblazoned teams, Bruges and Anderlecht, among the leading candidates to secure the national championship title, face off for the first day of the Jupiler Pro League playoffs. Both, moreover, ended the regular season with a few too many stumbles (two defeats each in their last five games): a detail that makes their direct clash even more interesting.

Bruges will take the field with Jutglà as the only forward, and a crowded three-quarter full of quality thanks to Nilsson, Vanaken and Tzolis. In the middle Onyedika and Jashari, on the two side lanes Sabbe and De Cuyper. Centrally in defense, in front of Mignolet, will act Ordoñez and Mechele.

For Anderlecht, on the other hand, Nilson Angulo, Edozie and Luis Vazquez are ready in attack, with the former deployed a few meters ahead of the other two. Maamar and Augustinsson on the flanks in a midfield complemented by Stroeykens and Dendoncker, three-man defense with Adryelson, Simic and Lucas Hey.

Probable lineups:

Bruges (4-2-3-1): Mignolet; Sabbe, Ordoñez, Mechele, De Cuyper; Onyedika, Jashari; Nilsson, Vanaken, Tzolis; Jutglà.
Anderlecht (3-4-2-1): Coosemans; Adryelson, Simic, Lucas Hey; Maamar, Stroeykens, Dendoncker, Augustinsson; Nilson Angulo, Edozie; Luis Vazquez.
