Juventus breaks ground and armors Weston McKennie

Juventus soccer market: breakthrough for the future of Weston McKennie. After many doubts about his stay in Turin, the U.S. midfielder is now one step away from a contract renewal that would make him one of the current flags of the Old Lady. The knot was a long-standing one, with the prospects of a farewell looking tall but unrealistic. In the meantime, however, came the relaunch from the company.
According to what has been gathered by ‘Tuttosport’, in fact, Juventus is ready to offer McKennie the long-awaited extension that would secure him in bianconero until the summer of 2028. Also included in the deal is a salary increase, with his seasonal compensation rising from 2.5 to 3 million. Also convincing to the club is the fact that the midfielder has carved out a central role for himself in the technical plans of each of the three coaches who have come and gone over the past 12 months.
Bought in 2020 and coming from Schalke 04, the U.S. national has since worn the Juventus jersey for more than 170 games changing sides only between January and June 2023 when McKennie moved on loan to Leeds United. The experience in the Premier League did not go in the best way, and at the end of the year the return to Juventus was consummated.
In spite of this, however, McKennie’s admirers in the English top league remained over time all but disinterested in his profile. This was also the reason why it was feared that his adventure at Juventus could be interrupted, until the revival in recent days.
