Taylor Fritz makes a confession about Jannik Sinner

Jannik Sinner is undoubtedly the most anticipated tennis player at the Internazionali d’Italia: the world number one returns to play Saturday after a three-month forced stop due to the Clostebol case. Many are questioning his condition after the break, and among the most skeptical is Taylor Fritz: the American tennis player doesn’t believe the Blue is at his best.
“On his chances of winning immediately at the Foro Italico I honestly don’t know. I would be very surprised if he can win the tournament. While on the one hand, the physical one, he will certainly be healthy, from the point of view of playing matches I think it will take weeks, even for him, to get back to full strength”.
Sinner himself said he does not have great feelings, and that he is aiming to regain his condition ahead of Roland Garros, scheduled for the end of May.”Honestly, it has not changed the way I look at Jannik after what happened– continued Fritz.”
One proof of that is that here in Rome we have been training together”.
Fritz feels he has a chance: “The US Open final and the Nitto ATP Finals final were two distinctly different matches. In New York Jannik was unplayable and I had the impression that I couldn’t do anything to get him in trouble, whereas in Turin I didn”t feel that far behind him.
Fritz felt that he was not so far behind.
