Anna Kalinskaya regains her smile in Strasbourg

Anna Kalinskaya regains her smile at the WTA 500 in Strasbourg. After untimely defeats in the WTA 1000s in Madrid and Rome, the Russian tennis player returned to success at the ‘Internationaux de Strasbourg’, overcoming U.S. Caroline Dolehide, world number 22, in her debut.
6-2 4-6 6-3 the final score accrued in favor of the Muscovite after just over two hours of play. Kalinskaya got off to a rocket start, finding the break as early as the second game (2-0), and repeating it in the eighth game that earned her the first set (6-2).
The final score was 6-6 6-3.
A small lapse in the opening of the second partial, however, cost the Russian dearly: Dolehide scratched the break in the opening game (1-0) and held on to it until the final 6-4 with which she extended the match to the third and decisive set.
In the last partial it was Kalinskaya who placed the first stretch (3-1) but the American immediately responded (3-2). After another exchange of breaks, the decisive break is the one signed by the Russian in the eighth game (5-3) that brings her to serve for the match, closing on the second match point (6-3).
