Antonio Conte spoke on the eve of the last championship game that could give Napoli the Scudetto: “You definitely feel a lot of desire to get on the field and play this game. We come from a beautiful stressful season and clearly this could be the ’last match that closes a season in a new square, in a new environment where we feel the responsibility to give the Neapolitan fans something beautiful and historic”

“My experience has always told me that championships are won by the teams that have shown and deserved the most. We are talking about 38 games. Unlike short tournaments, where sometimes the draw or disqualifications or injuries matter, the championship has so many games to delineate who deserves it. You have to show regularity of results, performance and have the ability to handle positive and negative situations”

“I can be a specialist in victories, it is true. But I am also one in defeats. My career speaks for itself. I also lost finals as a soccer player. I try to be a specialist in’helping my club and my boys try to do our best. If our best then leads us to be winners, that will be a great satisfaction. I don&#8217t want people to forget that in a career there are victories, but there are also defeats-and that has created a very tough zest in me that has also made me mean in certain situations. The disqualification? I am sorry, because I would like to be next to the boys in front of the fans to lead the team. But I have great confidence in the staff, the fans and the’environment that will be created at the stadium. I will have two hearts. One on the bench and one in the stands”

“Getting distracted right now is humanly difficult. I get distracted when I eat, more at dinner than at lunch. And if I can sleep. It&#8217s been a short week, but intense and full of emotions. The mind goes everywhere and we have to try to stay focused, work and prepare well for this match. This match is the most important match of the season by far. It will decide what kind of season we have had. Whether it will be excellent or superlative”.
