These are the words of Ferrari’s team principal Frederic Vasseur, who is aware that qualifying for the Monaco Grand Prix will have a fundamental importance for the race, and if the result of the Imola qualifying (eleventh Charles Leclerc, twelfth Lewis Hamilton) were to be repeated, for the Maranello manufacturer the race in Monte Carlo would be extremely complicated.

“The Monaco Grand Prix is a unique race – says Vasseur – We know how qualifying is crucial and in recent days we have been working precisely to improve our performance on the dry lap, after on the last few occasions we have failed to make the most of our package on Saturday. This weekend debuts a novelty in the sporting regulations that introduces an additional challenge for the Monaco race.”

“Each driver will have to make at least two pit stops with the’intent of giving more importance to strategy and increasing the action on the track. Obviously, it is Charles’s home event and that makes this race special for the whole team, which is determined to put both him and Lewis in a position to perform at their best,” Vasseur added.
