Someone like him would have been very handy for this Juventus. Instead, he made Roberto De Zerbi&#8217s fortunes at Olympique Marseille. Thanks to the precious contribution of Adrien Rabiot, the Marseille club has secured a place in the next Champions League.

In a lengthy interview with Gazzetta dello Sport, the former Juventus player explained, in a clear manner, why he did not continue his adventure in bianconero, despite having learned so much at the Old Lady.

“There was an interest for us to continue together. Thiago Motta had also called me, but Giuntoli did not do what was necessary to convince me. And I didn&#8217t get the feeling that he wanted to build something important. Given their chaotic season, maybe I was right” his words.

The midfielder goes even further: “Already for a few years there had been no signings that were up to Juve’s standards and that frustrated me because I had the impression that there were only a few of us on the field doing what was necessary. I didn&#8217t want to continue under those conditions so I preferred to put myself back in the game elsewhere and I chose Marseille”. In short, an unabashed Adrien Rabiot. As if that were not enough, comes the tackle on the’exoneration of Thiago Motta: “Incomprehensible to go and get a very good coach like Motta and then send him away immediately”.
