Tadej Pogacar recites mea culpa but remains optimistic for Tour de France

Tadej Pogacar spoke after the time trial of the Tour of Dauphiné, where he lost 49 seconds to Belgian Remco Evenepoel.
“I didn’t have a perfect time trial today. I think I got my plan a little bit wrong. I started the first part a little too conservatively, I should have pushed a little more.”
“That’s okay. That’s why we are here, to fine-tune our preparation for the Tour and to improve. We still have three difficult stages ahead of us and I am looking forward”.
“The team is working well and with the rivals we have here, it is the best place to test ourselves”, concluded the Slovenian who will still be the favorite for the yellow jersey in France.
