Andrea Soncin has chosen the 23 Azzurri players who will participate in the European Championships to be held from July 2 to 27 in Switzerland.

Of the 34 female soccer players who took part in the last week&#8217s gathering in Coverciano, the coach excluded Maria Luisa Filangeri, Beatrice Merlo, Flaminia Simonetti, Martina Tomaselli, Agnese Bonfantini, Valentina Giacinti and Margherita Monnecchi, while Astrid Gilardi, Valentina Bergamaschi, Martina Rosucci and Aurora Galli will be attached to the team for the remaining preparation period.

In case of injury or illness, the regulations in fact allow for changes to the list until midnight of the day before the competition debut. Here is the list of the 23 summoned.

Keepers: 12 Rachele Baldi (Inter), 22 Francesca Durante (Fiorentina), 1 Laura Giuliani (Milan).

Defenders: 17 Lisa Boattin (Juventus), 3 Lucia Di Guglielmo (Roma), 19 Martina Lenzini (Juventus), 5 Elena Linari (Roma), 2 Elisabetta Oliviero (Lazio), 13 Julie Piga (Milan), 23 Cecilia Salvai (Juventus).

Central midfielders: 18 Arianna Caruso (Bayern Munich), 6 Manuela Giugliano (Rome), 16 Eleonora Goldoni (Lazio), 20 Giada Greggi (Rome), 4 Eva Schatzer (Juventus), 15 Annamaria Serturini (Inter), 8 Emma Severini (Fiorentina).
