L’Inter is grappling with several “thorny cases”. At the end of a season stingy with satisfaction, the Nerazzurri club is setting up an important squad to be ready for the start of the new football season. Chivu needs important players to aim to win something.

The incoming market has brought several new faces but, at the moment, the focus is on those players who could pack their bags at short notice. Calhanoglu seems now determined to return to his homeland. Galatasaray is waiting for him with open arms but Inter does not want to sell out the Turkish midfielder, who is on the strength of a contract until June 2027. At less than 30 million euros, no white smoke.

Awaiting are offers for Taremi as well. The Iranian, in his first season with the Nerazzurri, has not convinced. Despite a guaranteed contract until 2027, in front of the right offer (no less than 10 million euros), he could leave Inter. To be seen who will come forward.

Delicate is the Dumfries issue. The Dutch outfielder is a key man inside Inter’s ranks but has a rescission clause, of “only” 25 million euros (valid only for foreign countries), that is tempting several top clubs. Among them would be Manchester City. Guardiola has reportedly expressed great interest in Dumfries. In short, Inter is being called upon to make important decisions, including on the level of possible disposals.
