Milan fans against Emerson Royal: rain of criticism

After a very complicated season, aggravated by a heavy calf injury in January, Emerson Royal has left AC Milan to move to Flamengo. The Brazilian club poured 9 million euros into the Rossoneri coffers to sign the star outright (6 less than the amount spent by the Rossoneri to buy him from Tottenham).

The full-back has unleashed the ire of the Rossoneri people with his first words as a new Flamengo player: “They told me that by returning to Brazil I would take a step backwards for my career but it is exactly the opposite. Flamengo is a huge team, one of the biggest in the world and we know what impact it has at the world level”.

Obviously, the São Paulo-born champion’s statements were not well digested by the Diavolo fans, who expressed their disappointment with the Brazilian’s words on social media.

“Wherever he went, everyone knows Flamengo perfectly well. Filipe Luis has been a great full-back and he can definitely help me, he has already explained what he expects from me. He told me that I can look for dribbling and I always have to aim for the’man. I had offers to stay in Europe” Emerson Royal concluded.
