Matteo Berrettini, currently world number 56, was beaten in the second round of the ATP 500 on the Tokyo cement by Norwegian Casper Ruud, number 12, with a score of 7-6 6-2

No break point until Berrettini had to face one on 6-5 for Ruud, and then it was also a set point, but he cancelled it. In the tie-break, however, the Scandinavian flies to 4-1 and then 6-2, misses two set points but the third is the good one.

The 29-year-old Roman from 1-1 in the second set loses four games in a row, obviously with two breaks, and shortly after Ruud closes the match without any problem at the end of almost an hour and 40 minutes of play.
