When Lorenzo Musetti plays in Athens: background with Alexandre Muller

After a hard-fought victory over Stan Wawrinka, Lorenzo Musetti is ready to take the court again in the Athens ATP 250. The Carrara native, second seed in the seeding, will face Alexandre Muller, world number 43, in the quarterfinals.

The match between l’Azzurro and the Frenchman is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 6, no earlier than 2 p.m. Italian time (3 p.m. local time) on the indoor concrete center court of the OAKA Basketball Arena in Athens, following the match between Sebastian Korda and Miomir Kecmanovic.

There is only one precedent between Musetti and Muller and it smiles on the transalpine, who defeated the Tuscan in three sets (6-3 1-6 6-4) on clay at the Marrakech 2023 ATP 250 in Marrakech in the quarterfinal match.

At the ‘Vanda Pharmaceuticals Hellenic Championship’ Musetti goes in the hunt for the title: for the Blue is the’only hope to qualify for the ATP Finals. At the moment, in fact, the last place for Turin is reserved for Felix Auger-Aliassime, who has overtaken Lorenzo to eighth place in the ATP Race.
