Pep Guardiola ct of'Italy: important news from Coverciano

Pep Guardiola new technical commissioner of Italy is not just a boutade: in Coverciano the suggestion represented by the Manchester City coach is alive, and there are those who dream of his arrival on the Azzurri bench. Among them would be also FIGC president candidate Giovanni Malagò, who in case of election could really try to convince the Catalan coach to try the adventure in Azzurro.
According to La Repubblica reports, the former Coni president wants to entrust the rebirth to the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich coach, who is bound to Manchester City by a contract until 2027.
The obstacles are many, starting with Guardiola’s huge salary, who currently earns 24 million euros, a figure that is not sustainable by the Football Federation. The other two names in contention are those of Massimiliano Allegri and Antonio Conte, with the former’s odds on the rise given the situation being experienced at AC Milan.
According to Repubblica’s rumors, Malagò has reportedly contacted Paolo Maldini to ask him about his availability to lead Club Italia. He also proposes bonuses for clubs that use more young Italians, and an adjustment of the system of payments for the domestic soccer market to international criteria to encourage the purchase of players from the Belpaese.
The debate on the name of the new technical commissioner is, however, lively and also involves great former champions. Beppe Bergomi expressed his opinion in no uncertain terms: “I have my idea, Bonucci also said it: if we want to change, we have to change. Which coaches are the most popular? The Spaniards. Guardiola, Luis Enrique, Fabregas… We have to change.” However, there is no shortage of opposing voices: Gianni Rivera panned the possibility of a foreign coach in an interview with AS, stating, “Guardiola? No, please. He is not Italian. He has to be Italian. Period.” On the same wavelength José Mourinho, who indicated his preferred solution with the formula “combo M&M: Malagò and Max,” referring precisely to Allegri.
