Inter is looking to bring in reinforcements to strengthen the current squad at Chivu’s disposal. Many names have been linked to the Nerazzurri, including Spence, who is always at the center of countless rumors but is still far from becoming an Inter player.

Now there’s also talk of another defender: Romero. The Argentine international has just played in the World Cup with the Albiceleste, proving he’s in excellent form. He’s doing well with Argentina but is struggling at Tottenham, where he’s having trouble maintaining consistent performance.

Inter is reportedly considering him, perhaps with the help of Nerazzurri captain Lautaro Martinez, who knows Romero very well. Furthermore, the 28-year-old defender knows Serie A inside and out, having played three seasons in Italy’s top flight: two with Genoa and one with Atalanta.

It remains to be seen whether Tottenham will be willing to let him go and, above all, for what price. The Premier League is rolling in money and values its players at extremely high figures—at least relative to the modest budgets of Italian clubs.
