Juventus Transfer Market: BBC Reports: The Bianconeri Are Targeting the Manchester United Star. Rugani Set to Leave

A sense of déjà vu: According to BBC reports, Juventus has once again set its sights on Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes, who could leave the Red Devils by the end of this summer. The Portuguese international’s contract expires in 2027, although it includes an option to renew for another season, and at the moment there is no agreement with the club for a longer extension.
According to the BBC, several clubs—including Juventus, Milan, and Galatasaray—have set their sights on him, enticed in part by his €66 million buyout clause. The 31-year-old player turned down an offer from the Saudi club Al-Hilal in recent weeks, but remains on the market as the English club hopes to sell him immediately to reduce the team’s substantial payroll.
Bruno Fernandes is said to have been “hurt” by the club’s decision and would now not rule out a new destination, though it would still have to be in Europe. Juventus has always shown strong interest in him, even though his salary of nearly 9 million euros net per season has consistently held up any negotiations. The Old Lady was first linked to the player way back in 2013, when he was still playing for Novara. Over the years, especially during his time at Sporting in 2018, Juve came very close to signing the player, and even in 2021 they tried to make a move, without success. Now the dream is back on the table.
On the outgoing front, keep an eye on Daniele Rugani: according to calciomercato.it, the Juventus defender is about to pack his bags, with Sassuolo as his destination. A loan move is possible for the Bianconeri center back, who is under contract with the Piedmont-based club through 2028. In recent weeks, Bologna and Monza had also been closely monitoring the defender’s situation; after his loan spell at Fiorentina, he returned to Continassa but failed to secure a spot in Luciano Spalletti’s plans. The Tuscan coach does not consider him a key part of the project.
