Rome Transfer Market: The Giallorossi Are Getting Stronger and Stronger…

Hector Fort has caught Roma’s attention. The Giallorossi are reported to have made an inquiry about the fullback, born in 2006 and owned by Barcelona, who is returning from a loan stint at Elche. The young Spaniard is one of the players being evaluated by management to bolster the flanks and provide Gian Piero Gasperini with an additional option.
The left flank, in fact, is one of the areas of the roster that most concerns the coach. At the moment, the only available option is Wesley, who, incidentally, is a natural right-back and has already been adapted to play on the opposite side. With Tsimikas and Angeliño having left the capital, the Brazilian has been left with essentially no natural alternative.
Hence the need to make further moves in the transfer market. Although the Friedkins have already invested—or plan to invest—approximately 115 million euros in a transfer window that’s also constrained by financial fair play rules, Gasperini would like at least one more reinforcement, possibly two, to ensure the squad is better covered in every position.
Fort is therefore one of the options being considered, but he isn’t the only name on D’Amico’s list. Roma continues to monitor Cacciamani as well, a young left-footed winger from Torino who has yet to make his Serie A debut. Torino values him at between 18 and 20 million euros, while Roma has reportedly offered around 10 million so far.
The pursuit of Destiny Udogie, a player particularly admired by Gasperini, would be more expensive. Tottenham is reportedly open to discussing his departure, but his asking price is said to be around 25 million euros.
