Well, look who’s back: Anna Kalinskaya, Jannik Sinner’s ex-girlfriend

After the U.S. Open, where she advanced to the round of 16, Anna Kalinskaya is ready to return to the court to tackle the final stretch of the 2026 season. The Russian tennis player has chosen the Asian hardcourt tour to resume her run on the WTA Tour and is already in China preparing for her upcoming matches.

Kalinskaya arrives at the Asian Swing following a strong run at the US Open, where she advanced to the round of 16. With her American campaign behind her, the Russian has begun training in preparation for two particularly important tournaments, both WTA 1000 events.

The first event will be the China Open in Beijing, scheduled for September 30 through October 11. Kalinskaya is on the tournament entry list and has already arrived in the Chinese capital, where she has begun familiarizing herself with the courts that will host the competition.

Once her run in Beijing is over, she’ll head to Wuhan. From October 12 to 18, the Wuhan Open will take place—another WTA 1000 event and the last tournament of this category scheduled for the 2026 season.

Kalinskaya is therefore facing a particularly challenging end to the season. Beijing and Wuhan will provide two important opportunities to earn points and achieve strong results before the final events of the year.
