High tension at the final whistle of Cagliari vs. Juventus, which ended 1-1. A decidedly nervous Luciano Spalletti, disappointed by the missed victory, had a close confrontation—practically a face-off—with the Rossoblù coach Fabio Pisacane, who didn’t just stand by and watch.

Already at the end of the first half, before heading into the locker room, the Tuscan coach had harshly complained to the Rossoblù bench and to Cagliari defender Yerry Mina, who had made several borderline plays.

At the end of the match, during the customary handshake, Spalletti approached Pisacane—the architect of Cagliari’s surprising fourth-place standing in the standings—with a tense expression. The two initially shook hands, but Spalletti said something to his colleague, leaning in close. Pisacane then grabbed the Certaldo-born coach’s arm, and the Tuscan manager reacted with annoyance, asking him to let go.

At that moment, tensions flared, with the two nearly coming to blows as if they were players on the field, exchanging less-than-friendly words, before being separated by their respective staff. After the altercation, referee Marcenaro intervened and sent both men off.

Juventus dominated possession but failed to create any real danger, conceding the opening goal to Daniel Maldini in the 20th minute of the first half before finally equalizing in the 81st minute through Kolo Muani, off an assist from Alajbegovic. In the final minutes, the Frenchman himself missed a chance for the winning goal, hitting the crossbar from just a few steps out.
