MotoGP: A New Challenge for Jorge Martin with Aprilia

Jorge Martin is gearing up for the Australian Grand Prix, the 18th round of the MotoGP season. The Aprilia rider arrives at Phillip Island after a successful weekend in Indonesia, where he finished fourth in the sprint race and third in the main race. These results have allowed him to reclaim the lead in the world standings with 355 points, in a championship that continues to be particularly close.
The Spaniard is aware of the importance of staying focused, especially given the tight margins between the main contenders in the title race: “After Indonesia, it remains clear that this championship will be a very close battle among the top three. We’re heading to Australia with even tighter gaps in the riders’ standings, and that means we have to keep working hard and trust in the efforts of the entire Aprilia team and our crew,” Martin said on the eve of the Australian race weekend.
The Phillip Island circuit will present a unique challenge for the Spanish rider, who will tackle the Australian track for the first time on the RS-GP. The 4.45-kilometer track, featuring five right-hand turns and seven left-hand turns, is considered one of the most spectacular on the calendar. “It will be the first time I’ve ridden the RS-GP on a special circuit like Phillip Island. I’m confident that, together with my team, we’ll do a great job and manage to say goodbye to this track in the best possible way,” added the Aprilia rider.
This will also be the last MotoGP Grand Prix at Phillip Island before the series moves to Adelaide next season. All the more reason for Martin to aim for a strong result on one of the circuits most beloved by riders.
