Kimi Antonelli: “I want to end on a high note”

Andrea Kimi Antonelli is two points away from the world title. All he needs to do is finish ninth to win the championship, regardless of his rivals’ results, and he’s already looking forward to the celebration in Mexico. After winning the race in Texas, the Mercedes driver expressed his complete satisfaction with his performance.

“I’m very happy; it was the result we needed. The whole team deserved it, because we’ve worked incredibly hard over the past few weeks to fine-tune the latest update package.”

Antonelli beat everyone, thanks in part to the one-stop strategy: “Our execution was flawless: a perfect one-stop strategy. We’re glad it worked—it was a great team effort. The title? We’re very close now, but I’d like to finish on a high note by winning more races.”
