MotoGp Ducati, big scare for Marco Bezzecchi
Valentino Rossi’s team centaur crashed during free practice and his Ducati burst into flames
Frightening fall for Marco Bezzecchi during the third free practice of the MotoGp Valencia Grand Prix: the Valentino Rossi team centaur slid in Turn 7, his Ducati ran into the gravel and then burst into flames.
Fortunately, the VR46 team rider emerged unharmed. The session, initially suspended, resumed a few minutes later. It was a bumpy Saturday morning with several crashes: in addition to Bezzecchi, Vinales, Nakagami and Binder also ended up on the ground.
After six titles won by Valentino Rossi in eight years it was the Spanish riders who took the lion’s share of the MotoGp world championship. From 2012 to 2020 only they have won, with Jorge Lorenzo a two-time world champion, Marc Marquez (6) and Joan Mir, triumphant in 2020 with his Suzuki.
