Sensational, Neymar ready to leave Brazil: he is courted by an MLS club

There is a lot of talk about Neymar these days. Primarily because of his desire for the World Cup. As is well known, the former Barcelona and PSG star dreams of being called up to participate in the World Cup kicking off next June 11 but, at the moment, Brazil coach Ancelotti has not shed any light on the matter, although the feeling is that he will not be part of the Brazilian expedition.
A blow for O’Ney who, at 34, hopes to play his last World Cup and, why not, win it. Meanwhile, according to reports from ESPN, there could be some sensational news about his future. FC Cincinnati is reportedly working to try to convince him to leave Santos, his current team, to move to MLS.
Neymar is still under contract with Santos, the team where he grew up, until the end of 2026, after extending his deal by one year last December. FC Cincinnati has reportedly already initiated contacts with the Brazilian’s entourage to see whether or not the conditions are in place to engage in negotiations.
Any decision on his future will be made after the 2026 World Cup anyway, regardless of whether Neymar is called up or not (he has not worn the greenoro jersey since October 2023). Santos coach Cuca let it be known that Neymar underwent knee surgery during the national team break to be ready for Ancelotti’s possible call-up. He will think about a possible future in MLS later.
