Bologna revives: Lecce defeated 2-0 at Dall'Ara

Bologna relaunched itself in the league after the bitterness of the Europa League and returned to victory, smashing a roundabout 2-0 win over a Lecce side increasingly in trouble in the relegation zone. The Bologna outfit scored one goal in each half thanks to two of its own symbols as captain Remo Freuler and star Riccardo Orsolini consolidated their eighth place in Serie A. On the other hand, the Salentini remain third-last, stationary at 27 points like Cremonese but who in their last four league outings have picked up as many knockouts.
The aftermath of the defeat against Aston Villa, however, initially shows itself in Bologna’s opening game, which after a lightness leaves too much space for Stulic. However, the visiting striker misses everything from one-on-one with Pessina. However, the Rossoblù gradually took the field, mainly thanks to Miranda and Cambiaghi. The lead came, however, when, on 27′, Orsolini surprised Lecce on a Lucumì header and sent the ball over the crossbar. On the rebound, it was too easy for Freuler to put it back into the net.
Lecce struggled to react, and indeed continued to suffer from the initiatives of Cambiaghi and Orsolini (who forced Ngom and Siebert to foul for penalties). Then, before halftime, a great Falcone denies them the satisfaction of a personal goal. Di Francesco tries to run for cover already in the opening of the second half, but Bologna takes no particular risks except in a possible counterattack well limited by Moro. Then to the conclusion go Castro (inaccurate) and again Orsolini (Falcone fumbles away).
After yet another chance for Orsolini, Italiano changes everything else about the attack of his Bologna. Indeed, Lecce started to press, particularly thanks to two initiatives by Pierotti and N’Dri. Then Lucumì saves everything on Cheddira, served by Ramadani after Pobega had quite trivially lost the ball. And the end of the game rewarded him, even though an attacking foul denied the double to Castro who had scored.
In the end the double came, but it was the result of a heavy mistake by Lecce. In fact, it started from a Ramadani free kick, which due to haste and an unfortunate deflection delivered the ball to Bernardeschi. The latter’s assist rewarded Orsolini himself, who closed the game at 92′, bringing a smile back to his Bologna.
