Serie A 2025-2026: Verona-Milan, the likely lineups

Reduced by two consecutive defeats, Milan seeks redemption Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Bentegodi against Verona, a pitch historically unfavorable to the Rossoneri. The heavy 0-3 suffered at the San Siro against Udinese left its mark, and Massimiliano Allegri is aiming for an immediate reaction against an opponent in crisis.
The Scaligeri occupy last place in the standings, with only one win in their last 17 matches and an open streak of four defeats. Despite this, the Bentegodi remains a tricky ground: just a month and a half ago Napoli struggled not a little to impose themselves, finding the decisive goal only in the dying minutes.
For Milan, the stakes are high: more missteps would risk jeopardizing the race for Champions League qualification, although the recent stop by Como gave a hand to the Allegri-led team.
Allegri abandoned the 4-3-3 and returned to the 3-5-2, with Gabbia available again. In midfield, space is given to Fofana, Modric and Rabiot, while the Leao-Pulisic pair is confirmed in attack. In Verona, Sammarco does not recover Bella-Kotchap but rejoins Suslov after being disqualified. In defense Frese is favored over Valentini.
Probable formations:
Verona (3-5-2): Montipò; Edmundsson, Nelsson, Frese; Oyekoge, Akpa Akpro, Gagliardini, Bernede, Belghali; Bowie, Orban.
Milan (3-5-2): Maignan; Tomori, De Winter, Pavlovic; Saelemaekers, Fofana, Modric, Rabiot, Bartesaghi; Pulisic, Leao.
