Olimpia Milano: there's a new name in the notebook and it’s a Peppe Poeta protégé

Olimpia Milano is focused on the season finale (there is a Scudetto to be won) but is already interested in seizing all possible market opportunities to set up an important roster for next season. As is well known, there will be a lot of changes.
There are several red-and-whites currently on the team who will be packing their bags. Ellis is expected in the NCAA, Nebo will not stay. Doubts also about Mannion, Tonut and Brooks, the latter at the center of so much attention from several top clubs (although his will is to stay in Milan).
Obviously, many names approached the white and red club. Among the many, also that of Burnell. The Leonessa Brescia ace is an old favorite of coach Poeta (the two worked, very well, at Germani). The current EA7 coach is well acquainted with Burnell’s skills and great leadership.
At the age of 1997, the U.S. wing has played, in Italy, with the jackets of Cantù, Sassari, Brindisi and, since 2023, Brescia. At 28, he now appears ready to raise the bar even higher. Olimpia Milano could be the right club where he could take that last step and become a “Euroleague” player. Recently, to Corriere dello Sport, Burnell himself, talking about Brescia, said, “It will always be an important place in our hearts, no matter what happens in the future.” Parting words? His contract expires at the end of the current season.
