Premier League halts to make way for the FA Cup. The round of 16 offered no surprises, but one big one got caught up: only 0-0 for Liverpool at home against West Ham, so Klopp’s side, fresh from winning the League Cup final, will have to play the replay at Upton Park.
Same fate for West Bromwich Albion, stopped at home by Peterborough United, a League One (third tier) formation.
Arsenal won narrowly, thanking Alexis Sanchez. Bournemouth and Crystal Palace also by a narrow margin. Manchester City deluges on the field of Aston Villa: hat-trick by Iheanacho.
On Friday, Manchester United had tamed Derby County, while the last two matches are scheduled for Sunday: Carlisle United-Everton and Milton Keynes Dons-Chelsea
