We are less and less away from the opening of the summer soccer market session and Torino is already working to restructure the squad after a season below expectations. Gianluca Petrachi will have the task of disposing of redundancies and shoring up some key departments such as the goal.

Last summer the Granata club bought Franco Israel from Sporting for 4.5 million euros, but the Uruguayan player has struggled a lot to settle in and has so far collected just 10 appearances between the league and Coppa Italia. In his place has been played by Alberto Paleari, a 33-year-old expiring in 2027, but the need to buy a new goalkeeper is clear for all to see.

Urban Cairo’s intention is to authorize the purchase of the new goalkeeper only after Israel’s exit and, according to the latest rumors, it seems that Cagliari is interested in him. The Sardinians could lose Elia Caprile (in the sights of Inter, Juventus and especially Aston Villa) and Guido Angelozzi is already working to identify his heir.

Franco Israel is one of the names in the notebook of the island club, with him there are also Wladimiro Falcone of Lecce and Christos Mandas of Lazio. The latter moved to Bournemouth in January on loan with the right of redemption but never took the field with the English and will return to Rome in June and then leave the capital permanently.
