Ligue 1 2025-2026: Lyon-Auxerre, the probable formations

After Friday’s pyrotechnic opener, which saw Lens recover at home to Brest from 3-0 down to 3-3, but slowing down in perhaps decisive fashion in the title race, Ligue 1’s 31st day continues Saturday with three matches on the calendar.

At 3 p.m., Lyon led by Paulo Fonseca, back in the Champions zone after a long period of crisis and fresh from a victory at home to PSG, faces an Auxerre in search of points to at least maintain the playout zone, without taking any further risks with less than a month to go before the end of the season.

At 7 p.m. Luis Enrique’s men take the stage instead: Paris Saint-Germain will play at home to Angers, with the goal of bringing the gap on Lens to six points, with four matches still to be played. On the other hand, the black and whites want to devinitively file away the salvation discourse, maintaining if not increasing the 9 points that there are already now on the third-last position.

The closing of Saturday’s program is entrusted to Toulouse-Monaco: the Ville Rose team has nothing more to ask from the championship, while the club from the Principality aims to get back into the first six positions that guarantee participation in the European cups next season. The Ligue 1 day will then continue on Sunday with Lorient-Strasbourg, Rennes-Nantes, Le Havre-Metz, Paris FC-Lille and Marseille-Nice.
