Not just a forward, Juventus is on the hunt for a name to fill the void in the box. With the stated goal of getting back to fighting for the Scudetto after six unsuccessful seasons with too many placings far from the top, CEO Comolli and sporting director Ottolini have begun intensive scouting to find the perfect metronome for Luciano Spalletti’s squad. The name that has jumped to the top of the wish list is that of Angelo Stiller, a German midfielder born in 2001 in force at Stuttgart.

The Tuscan coach would have initially preferred to bet on Stanislav Lobotka, but the difficulty of engaging in negotiations with Napoli has pushed the Bianconeri management to veer decisively to other profiles. It was in this scenario that the figure of Stiller emerged strongly. The player has been monitored live by Juventus scouts, who have given him a very positive assessment. His vision of the game and the leadership shown on the field are considered fundamental qualities to make the quality leap for the Bianconeri midfield.

The German talent, however, is not an unknown name on the big international stages. In the past he has been approached by Real Madrid, at the urging of Toni Kroos himself who had glimpsed his potential, while now it is Manchester United that is monitoring the situation, ready to sink the blow once qualification for the next edition of the Champions League is consolidated. And inevitably, Bayern Munich has also been interested in the player in the past, who grew up right in the Bavarian club’s nursery.

Despite the fierce competition, Juventus is taking concrete steps, opening a channel of dialogue with both the player’s entourage and the German club. The Bianconeri’s mission is clear: to anticipate the timing and deliver to Spalletti the director needed to restore ambition and order to the team.
