Bad news for Lazio and Maurizio Sarri: Mattia Zaccagni’s 2022 is over, and he will not be available to the Tuscan coach for the last two Serie A matches against Monza and Juventus before the World Cup in Qatar. The player, one of the best in this first part of the season, will only return in 2023.
“The medical staff of S.S. Lazio announces that Mattia Zaccagni underwent clinical and instrumental examinations this morning at Paideia International Hospital that showed a distractive injury to the right calf. The player has already started the specific treatment of the case and will undergo clinical and instrumental monitoring,” reads the statement released by the Capitoline club, through its official channels.
