The last test session of the Sky Racing Team VR46 ahead of the first Moto3 race in Qatar closes with a positive balance. At the Losail circuit, where the opening GP of the new Moto3 season will be held in a week’s time, the young trio of Italians did not betray expectations and finished the three-day session with two riders in the Top10, Romano Fenati and Nicolò Bulega.
Fenati, also slowed down today by chattering, closes the three days in eighth place with an overall time of 2.06.256. Among the top ten along with Fenati also Nicolò Bulega: despite an electrical problem that forced him to the pits for much of the second round, the young rookie archives the tests with a good sixth place (2.05.816). An uphill day for Andrea Migno, who with a time of 2.06.917 on the first day is 21st.
“Unfortunately, an electrical problem forced me into the pits for most of the second session, but I came back on track very charged in the last session and posted a very good chrono. For being the first test at this track, I went beyond expectations and I’m really pleased. There were improvements day by day and I’m confident I can do well in the race,” Bulega’s words.
“It was a pretty positive day,” Fenati explained, “although I didn’t completely solve the chattering problem and I wasn’t able to file my chrono. I still have some work ahead of me, but I’m confident I can do well. I have to stay focused, I can’t wait to get on track for the first free practice.
