Mystery Federica Brignone statements: called into question Sofia Goggia

Federica Brignone’s interview with the Belve program is back on the air. The Olympic champion, winner of gold in super-G and giant slalom at Milan Cortina 2026, had sat a few weeks ago on the format’s stool for the usual face-to-face discussion with Francesca Fagnani.
After the recording, however, some requests for changes from the skier’s staff would have emerged. According to Fanpage.it, these would have been cuts deemed relevant to the content of the interview, proposals that the presenter would have rejected. At that point, the parties reportedly decided together not to air the episode. So curiosity remains as to what steps led to this choice.
Among the most sensitive issues would be the relationship with Sofia Goggia, which has always been marked by a certain rivalry. The weekly Chi speaks of some unwelcome statements related precisely to this complex bond, made of tensions but also of distensive gestures. In the past, in fact, there has been no shortage of reciprocal barbs: Goggia had pointed out that Brignone “talks too much,” while the latter had called her colleague “arrogant” and very focused on herself.
In spite of the frictions, however, sporting respect has never failed. This was also seen at the last Olympics, with Brignone feeling sorry for Goggia’s exit in the super-G and Goggia herself ready to congratulate her teammate’s successes.
